    Reynolds School is a wonderful place to learn. I welcome you to our school and encourage you to visit all aspects of our school via the website. Each grade level and special area is represented on the website and offers interesting perspectives to our programs.
     
    Reynolds School provides dynamic educational experiences for all students.  Full day kindergarten, first and second grades, as well as pre-school classes, make up our fine school. 

    The 2024-2025 Reynolds School theme is “Reynolds is Kind. Reynolds is Smart. We have Fun. We have Heart.”  Special thanks to second grader, Ben Root, for coming up with this year’s new theme. 


    Reynolds is a child-centered school where children are encouraged to take an active approach to learning.  This year we focus our staff development efforts in the areas of math, reading, word study and writing. We use a multisensory approach to teach spelling, phonics and vocabulary development. Our teachers utilize this approach to support decoding, encoding, and fluency. Our classroom libraries are all leveled and offer many genres for the students to enjoy. The connection of reading and writing units continue to evolve to best meet the needs of the students. Each staff member has a web page that is updated regularly. We continue to expand our skills in technology to better communicate with parents in this ever-changing world. Students enjoy learning Spanish, and are exposed to many cultural experiences. Our use of the Everyday Mathematics Program allows students to explore connections to real world experiences. Formative assessment provides the teachers with specific information about each learner and they can then design instruction to meet individual needs.
