All About Me: My name is Mr. D’Anna, and I will be your child’s teacher this year. It is with great excitement that I welcome you and your child to my classroom. We are all gearing up for what will be an exciting, educational, and fun-filled year. Together we will learn about reading, writing, math, social studies, character education, and more. We will also switch classes with Mrs. Walker for science class.
As a class, we will read a number of texts across various genres. We will also be developing our writing skills, studying grammar, and improving our critical thinking, too. Though it will require hard work and dedication, we are all on the same team working towards the same goals — which means that we will work together to make great strides this year.
My Interests/Hobbies: I love reading —fantasy and graphic novels — and traveling. My favorite vacations have been to Capri, Italy, and Bali. I am also a big fan of all things Star Wars as well as Marvel/DC Comics, so I will happily engage in all sorts of geeky discourse with students. Finally, I love football — let's go NY Giants!
